New Client Information.

Booking your
first session.
Step one
Email me.
Reach out through contact@silviapomarestherapy.com and tell me a little about what brings you here.
In your email, kindly let me know which days and times you are available for weekly sessions, and whether you’d prefer to meet via telehealth or in person (in-person is available only at the Los Angeles location). I will get back to you and let you know if our schedules align.
Step two
Phone consultation.
We will have a free, brief phone consultation (10 minutes) to talk about your needs and to see whether we are a good fit for each other.
If it turns out I’m not the right fit, I’m glad to point you toward someone who is.

- What are your fees?
- Individual therapy sessions are $250 for 45 minutes. Couples sessions are $375 for 45 minutes. Payment accepted by Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, all major credit cards, FSA and HSA cards.
- Do you accept insurance?
- I am an "out-of-network provider," which means that I do not accept insurance reimbursement directly. I accept self-pay only, and will happily provide you with the documentation needed for reimbursement if you have "out-of-network" coverage.
- How do I know if I have "out-of-network" coverage?
- I would recommend calling your insurance company and asking them directly. Once you have the information, I can help you navigate the process.
- Can I get a receipt for insurance reimbursement?
- Yes. Once I have been paid for the session, I will provide you with a "superbill" — a receipt with all the information your insurance company needs in order to reimburse you.

Cancellation
& consistency.
Cancellation.
A week’s notice is required for cancelling an appointment. The reason for this is so that I can have a reasonable amount of time to reschedule the appointment with another client.
For less than a week’s notice, we can reschedule your session. Reschedules on the same day of the appointment are considered no-shows.
Session consistency.
Regular attendance is vital for your progress, and your weekly time slot is reserved exclusively for you. Because I cannot professionally or financially maintain long-term vacancies, extended consecutive absences require an active management plan.
If you need to miss multiple sessions in a row but wish to hold your designated time, we will need to discuss a plan to either schedule makeup sessions or pay for the missed slots. While I always attempt to utilize cancelled times for other clients, this is not always guaranteed.
Let’s collaborate on a plan that supports your therapeutic goals while respecting our scheduling commitments.
